How long does the recruitment take?
*There is no defined time frame for recruitment but PSNI are aimimg for 6 months from application to training for top scorong individual's.

Does Age, gender, religious, race or sexuality minority habe an advantage?
*No, although PSNI was a more diverse police service people do not get special treated because of who or what they are.

What scores do I need in the IST & AC to pass?
*The pass mark changes every campaign deep sing on how that campaoth scored as a whole.

    Does my tattoo effect me?
*Depends entirely on where the tattoo is and what it is.

    How long is training/ probation?
*23 weeks of training at GV and then 2 years of probation during which you must also pass continuation training.

    How long does vetting take?
*Everyone's Vetting is different some take weeks some take months, depends on the individual and their background.

    What happens at the AC?
    * 3 role plays, 2 action plans, 1 report writing exercise and a smaller online IST resit.

I passed the AC, why havnt I been contacted by PSNI yet?
    * Contact by PSNI goes in merit order after the AC. Lower your score the longer you wait.

    What happens at PCA familiarisation?
    * You are shown around the circuit and allowed to attempt each obstacle as ma y times as you want. You are NOT allowed a full practice lap or to time yourself.

    What happens at PCA?
    * Before the PCA everyone will be shown the obstacles again. You then leave the hall and fill out an info sheet with your details including height and weight. Then one at a time in alphabetical order you do your PCA. NO TIMING DEVICES ARE ALLOWED. It is your responsibility to do your own warm up. And once finished you cannot leave. Once halfntje group has finished they are given envelopes and escorted off the premesis . You are NOT allowed to open your results until after leaving. (Envelope with a thick side means a pass. It's your medical forms).

What do I do with the medical forms.
    * You complete sections 1 and 2. You Then need to have an appoint.ent with your GP for them to finish section 3. (Make sure you date your section 1 and 2 before the GP visit date. The nurses check this at medical!!)

    What happens at medical?
    * Urine sample, height, weight, eyesight both through reading a passage and a standard eyesight test. Lung capacity test 3x attempts. Hearing test.
SMT is 2 samples of hair cut down to the scalp with between 50-100 hairs per sample.
BMI is no longer a major factor in the medical.

Great work Nik thanks, my one comment on the above is that at my PCA  we were all released at once. Not particularly important just in case some Aaron Aaronson out there thinks he might get away early :D
