Could I volunteer for unpaid internship for a company while on BTEA?

I am currently on BTEA but would like to volunteer for a company so I could get my foot on the door in my field of study. Would I be allowed to claim JSB BTEA while doing unpaid internship in a company?

It's unlikely that you'd be granted permission to work in a business while on JSB. If it was a charity or community group you probably wouldn't have a problem.

Oh I mean while I am on BTEA not JSB, sorry. I am currently doing Springboard atm.

But you're right, it seems unlikely. I've snooped around for other old threads and mentioned that the condition for receiving on benefits is that you are actively seeking work and participate in activities that improve your chances of becoming employed. Would there be exception though if you are in BTEA but volunteer? I mean, it is still a way for someone to improve the employability.
