Skin lesion

    My husband had a skin lesion removed today in St. Vincent’s private it gone got biopsy but he didn’t ask doctor how long until results be back anyone know or have experience of this

    I had one removed last year and I believe it took about three weeks to get the results.

    A 5 day turn around is standard in most histology labs but it may take a bit longer for a report to be received by the gp. In reality most samples can be processed in 24hours depending on size, additional tests etc. and a telephoned report can be given if urgently required

    Usually the results are back within 4-5 days...
