    Hi ,

    If its a "euro cylinder" - very easy once everything is working - i.e. you can open the door.
    Youtube it - loads of videos.

    But basically take it out by;
    - releasing a big screw which is inserted through the door, from the face of the door that is hidden when the door is closed.
    - turn the key til it begins to slide out (bit of playing/feel work required here)

    Get a new lock with same dimensions, these will differ with each door (you dont want the lock to pertrude out on the exposed side - it can be broken by "bumping")
