Screws for Clear Corrugated Sheeting

Hi guys, what are the best screws / nails for securing some clear corrugated sheeting on a shed? Somebody has suggested nails with a washer, but I wouldn't trust my aim with a hammer!:mad:

Just check with the above screws that you are getting the ones for metal to wood. The metal to metal ones won't hold anything like as well.

iirc I normally use ones that are at least 100mm long on CGI because you loose half the thread under the high point of the corrugation.

Finally I find it best if I mark with a pencil the screw locations then make a small dent with a center punch which helps massively starting the screws which are self drilling. If you are screwing transparent plastic sheets I drill holes in the sheets first as its easy to shatter the plastic.

I did some browsing and came across different screws in Goodwins. Sorry I can't seem to upload pic but if you type Roofing Screw and Washer - Set of 10, it should come up!

These would be the ones I'd use for corrugated iron sheets on a shed https://www.mcmahons.ie/screws-nails-fixings/screws/self-drilling-screws/rawlplug-5-5x100mm-self-drilling-screw-pk-100-steel-sheets-to-timber or a smaller length if you think that would be more suitable.

This is the proper bit holder for tek screws, with magnetic insert to hold the screw while driving: https://www.goodwins.ie/products/tek-screw-holder-10x48mm-emb280a.html
