Hi! We had a supervising engineer who destroyed our house - basically after the renovation project he supervised, our house was structurally unsafe, supports had to be put into the attic, and into our extension roof. Our extension roof actually collapsed, as the engineer hadn't designed enough supports, and then didn't supervise the builder, who put undersized timbers into our roof. Then they both refused us foundations certs. We discovered though we had paid for new foundations, they just built over the old ones. The engineer made a mistake on our planning, and we had to apply for retention We basically should have come under BCAR but didn't. We had to pay 80k for remedial work, and we still don't have full certification. The project was 135k, and he paid 9 visits to the property. His fee was 11k. He hired the builder, and was the designer, supervisor and project manager.

We gave him a bad google review. His solicitors threatened to sue us for defamation and wrote to Google to take down the post. We reminded them that we had 6 reports and over 100 pieces of correspondence to back up what we said. Google didn't take down the post. Now they are saying they are going to get an injunction against us to take down the post. The post is completely factual, based on what happened to us, and what our new professionals/expert witnesses said. Previously, the engineer - the one who supervised the original project - told us through his solicitor that he wouldn't give us certification unless we stated that we withdrew our complaint to his professional organisation - we didn't - but discovered the engineer couldn't provide the certification, as he was only an associate engineer.

What is the likelihood that they will succeed with their injunction.
