Register vehicle from commercial to private?

    hi, i have question bought car was reg previously in ireland 2016. it was later once sold and i bough ti on this april/ t was comercial but no modificatins was made. I added 2 extra seat rear one 6th and 7th. Origninall from BMW as the car model. I had ingeeneir to do the conversion approval. Wen to tax office and on the reg book the Car has M1 cathegory but VRT cat B as shold be A. Motor tax has no idea why? anyone can help recolve this for me please!! thanks

    Was it taxed as a commercial crewcab before?

    If so, and you want to register it as private you may need to pay VRT on it, which on a 2016 car would be well over €5 k
