    Hi all,

2004 1.2 punto 5 door. Red steering wheel light and yellow engine light on dashboard. Does anyone know what this means?

Rev meater seems to Stick to 10 when engine is strated.

I haven't a clue about cars so if anyone knows what the above means it would be very helpful. Not in a position to drive it to test anything.

    Tia

You need to get the car plugged in to decent diagnostics. That era of punto was well known for failed electric steering column though and they are not cheap to replace. You likely have multiple issues though as that wouldn't put on your engine light.

Its possible you messed something up while replacing and blew a fuse or two but if you really haven't a clue then get it to a good independent garage.

Check the earth strap on the cylinder head near the throttle body, particularly if the head gasket was replaced recently ;)

Mechanic has it at the moment. Said it may have been a glitch when the battery was replaced. Said it's driving fine
