    Hi all,
Looking at purchasing an e92 330 d coupe over the weekend or next week in the Laois area.
Anyone know of anyone that could check it out for me or somewhere I can take it.
Car looks spot on and speaking to the owner sound all legit.
Know my way around a car but just need a professional opinion
    Thanks

Don't know him nor have I used him but George Dalton is very very well regarded on this forum.

Check the alloys for cracks. I had 3 :-(. 19 inch rims + RFTs are not fit for Irish roads.
Only other thing I can think of is check that the seat belt extender is holding the seat belt on extension.
Fun car, especially with a remap :)

looked at the car anyway and it is mint to be fair, but there are some hazy details from late 2016 to present.
The last mot was done in 04/16 with 80,000miles and it had repair work done in Jan 17 and sold again in Mar 17 with 86,000 miles but the ad on DD says 83,000 miles, now maybe the 83000 is a typo but it checks out the whole way up to 80,000 miles so doubt its clocked, maybe a wrong entry somewhere I reckon.
Think I will book it in to George daltons in portlaoise for a check though before I proceed as the back passenger wheel was damaged in a pic I saw and twisted with Cat d reported but the pics don't look that bad to be fair, mainly light cosmetic

If you buy a cat d be prepared to own it till you scrap it. No one will buy off you again.

Also even if the mileage all checks out and it's got 86k on it. You've a modern diesel that's done 6k in two years. Prime dpf candidate!!!

    I'd leave it.

UK plates. Check mot history. He's quite specific about the 83k. So it's a clocked cat d. Run!!

There's a few clean ones at that money on the UK. So his cat d would need to be signicantly cheaper to be any use.

That’s it! Prob will go UK as I have been looking for quite some time on auto trader. I have the full mot history if it from start all the way to 80000 miles which was the last one. So will be clarifying that with him over the next day or so. Is autotrader the best site to find UK or Ni cars? All I know of that seems to be any good tbh

Why would someone bring one in and not VRT it?

Those 19 inch wheels have problems with cracking.

If it's Cat D I wouldn't touch it, a 330d will be a hard enough car to shift so no need to make it even harder.
