How to oven cook ribs

Can somebody who knows how to cook (I don't) please tell me how long I should cook spare ribs in the oven, and any other preparation I need to do? These ribs aren't on a rack. I get them in my local butcher. They are really nice but I'm pretty sure I've been undercooking them because I've felt nauseous a few times after eating them.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Come on people. These ribs won't cook themselves.

Are they plain spare ribs or do they have a sauce/marinade on them?

If they are already coated, just stick them in a roasting tin and seal the tin with tinfoil (or stick them in a roasting bag).

Place the tin in a pre-heated oven 130c for 90 minutes. Remove tin foil (or remove from roasting bag) and up oven temp to 180c for 30 minutes to crisp the outside.

Serve with chips and coleslaw. :)

Thanks very much Gloomtastic. I'll do as you say!

    How did they turn out?

Actually, Dizzy, I'll be cooking them today instead. My sister turned up unexpectedly yesterday and made spaghetti Bolognese (Happy days!). I'll let you know what happens. Don't be surprised to hear about a burning house in the Dublin 12 region.

Well, as long as the ribs are ok that's the main thing.

Ribs were a roaring success. Gloomtastic's instructions were spot on.
