    Hi

It says online I need to bring something called a PSC but I don't have that. Surely a passport will suffice??

    Thank you

You have to have the PSC. Just go to your local SW office and organise to get one.

Thats a ****ing joke. So they let you past immigration on the basis of your passport but we need to get a whole new card to take a theory test? :(

Does it cost money? I'm guessing so.... and I'll have to take a full day off work to go to my appointment. What a joke.

You must be living under a rock if you haven't heard of the Public Services Card before.

I have a full license from years back and it wasnt required. I am applying for new license in different category so need to do theory test again.

Is a birth certificate required for the PSC card????? I don't even know where I would begin to find that. This is such a stupid amount of hoops to jump through when before a passport would do..

If you were born in Ireland then you don’t need a birth cert but in any case a birth cert is €20 from any health centre.
You need proof of residence ( a bill /bank statement with your name and address dated recently) and photo ID.
Just go and organise it for a time thatvduits you. It takes 15 minutes.
