We had an extension built and we now have a flat roof that is 50% of the overall area. We've had some issues getting quoted because of that.

We have a 20 year insurance backed guarantee on the roof. Is that something an insurance company would take into account?

I insure mine through brokers obf.ie. They have a 'non-standard construction' policy with Lloyds of London. Have never claimed on it though so cant comment on that.
