Condoms would be subsidised by the state.
It may help reduce STD's and unplanned pregnancies

If they're free then 90% of them would end up stuck on someone's head or used as water bombs.

No. They would be used as water bombs and thrown at first years.

Or the first years would try to put them up one nostril and out the other

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.

Can't see the schools or the parents being happy with this.

Bearing in mind the vast majority of secondary school pupils are beneath the age of legal consent how would this work?

    Eh yeah
    Dumbass idea

You've to enter your PPS number to get one!

If the machines weren't raided or vandalised than yes. But teenagers should be easily able to access contraception. In fact everyone should. Stupid Ireland will legislate for abortion before it legislates for open access to contraception....now what's all that about prevention being better than cure..

    Better idea
Now you could on to something
Like nobody would ever share their pps lol
But seriously the concept of having contraceptives in schools is worthy of debate
At least it would be pro active

As far as I'm concerned contraception should be subsidised and provided free of charge. I'd love to see them in schools but obviously that's not going to fly because such a large segment of society still has a hangup around sexuality - what I would advocate for instead is that it be available free of charge and over the counter from any pharmacist, to any person of any age or gender, anonymously and no questions asked. Seems like a solution which would be far easier to implement. In fact, have them in some kind of general dispenser or box away from the till so that people who are embarrassed can still get them without having to interact with somebody in order to do so.

I think In schools free would lead to allot of waste from messing and general having a laugh.

A small charge would discourage this, but it makes sense to have contraception available where lots of young people can easily access it.
