Importing from UK - silly mistake

despite this not being my first time doing this, I somehow managed to leave the V5 document ( page 1 ) with the seller and took home page 2.
He posted it immediately but had taken a copy for himself.

    That was 3 weeks ago.

VRT wont accept the photocopy scan, told me to contact DVLA for an export form.

DVLA has got the change of ownership request already and informed me I can request an export form digitally which is handy, but it will take 4-6 weeks !

Has anyone experience on this ?

Is it possible for the seller to request a new V5 and then send it to me.
Or I could call the DVLA and change the address to my mates in UK who could send me the V5 once it arrives at his place?

    thanks

Been there! Apply to DVLA for a 'Certificate of Permanent Export' V651.
Can't post link but google 'DVLA V756' which is the application form.
    Mine came in 3 weeks

    Yes
This is what it says in gov.uk website:
"This publication was withdrawn on 12 June 2018
The V756 has been withdrawn because this form is no longer required"

    Exports.Dept@dvla.gsi.gov.uk

Try fill it out and send it here anyway.
I emailed the completed form on Monday, got the export doc on Friday.

Just sent a form through myself - hopefully they'll be kind and allow a period of grace before refusing them. Been waiting since March for a V5C from the previous owner (got them to change the tax status to historic).

The vehicle is ex-military, so while it’s actually a ‘77, it had an ‘82 reg. It’s an awkward yoke for testing purposes (a forward control Land Rover), so I wanted to avoid the need for NCT/DOE testing. A reg cert older than ‘80 avoids the need for tests (though it would only be liable for two of them under the new rules, with it’s previous ‘82 cert).

Hi Ladsas, did this work for you?
Spent half day googling what's the new process if they are doing away wit V751. All links redirect to form V62, which is the V5 replacement for the UK residents. All phone numbers I could find were 0300 or 0844 - impossible to call from ROI.
Will try RobAMerc email address tomorrow.

The document is discontinued but they still accept it. I emailed them a scan of the completed form and got the cert maybe two weeks later.
