Help with some interview type questions

I have a couple of meetings with recruiters this week and would like some help with a couple of expected questions if possible.

Describe what you do in your current role.
Give an over view of your career history.

    Something like the above.

It sound so simple but when I get asked these I either say too little (completely under selling myself and my experience) or waffle on (which loses interest)

Any tips would be beneficial. It's time to move on from my current role so I really need to get this right.
