    Hi,
I got a plumber in to change my shower, it doesn’t look like the pipes fit each other and he seems to have used plumbing tape to fill the gap is this ok?

    PTFE tape?

    Are they leaking?

HI, no, water is not turned on yet, its a new house so he just put in the pipes before tiling, it is PTFE and is covering about 1/3rd of the gap.

So presumably the plumber is coming back as he can't have tested that it works.

    Put up a picture.
