Holiday leave query

Hi everyone. Perhaps a silly question! I started a job last a few months ago and was surprised at how quickly I accumulated leave days - I took a few but still have maybe three or so left. I honestly forgot I had to leave to take and before I knew it, I was into a new leave year. When I leave my current job, will I get those days (however) back or are they gone?
    Thank you!

Plead ignorance to your HR section and see if they'll let you carry them forward into new leave year.

Depends on your manager and hr department. We are allowed to unofficially carry a few days over to the next year but they are supposed to be used up ASAP in the new year. We can’t keep saving leave then have a ten week holiday after a few years service iykwim. As you are new they’ll probably take pity on you and let you take the days in the next few weeks.
