Car warranty

I purchased a jeep over 5 weeks ago from a dealer in Dublin.
Saturday 14/4/18 I am driving it and there is screeching coming from the engine as well as it losing power.
I ring the said dealership first thing on the Monday morning only to be told that it was up to me to get the vehicle back to dublin from cavan.

The vehicle is under warranty. Fighting all week with them, telling them its there job to collect the vehicle.
Meanwhile my vehicle is sitting on side of road in cavan so i have to instruct my mechanic to pick it up on a trailer to remove it from the road as it was a danger.

My mechanic has to be paid, so surely thats the dealership job as they refused to pick up the vehicle in the first place and then all off a sudden they change their mind and say they will collect it.

They finally ring me on the thursday to say they will collect the car but it will be saturday before its picked up.

They picked it up saturday. I rang this morning expecting that it would be ready today or tomorrow only to be told it hasnt even been looked at.

And all they will be doing is looking at it and then referring it back to the dealership i brought it from as they need to be sure its covered under warranty.
I'm being messed about. Can someone tell me my full rights. Thanks

To give you a better idea, the year, make and model would be useful along with the dealer type that you bought it from, as in was it a franchise dealer and if so, what franchise or was it an independent.

Generally most manufacturers give roadside assistance cover while the car is still in manufacturers warranty cover.

If the car is still within manufacturers warranty, it should have been as simple as calling their assistance number. If the car is out of manufacturers warranty or sold by an independent dealership it'd still be sound of them to pick it up for you given the circumstance but I'm not sure if there's any legal obligation?

a 141 Ssangyong Korando Jeep. Had 21.500 kms on it when i purchased it. It was an independent dealership. However it was still within the 5yr manufacturing warranty from Ssangyong. They never offered me a replacement vehicle either. It really should not be breaking down after 5 weeks considering the yr and the kms travelled. Thanks for your response

I rang Ssangyong Ireland last wednesday and they told me that my insurance company should have break down assistance and that they would bring it to the garage and i told them that they would only bring it to the next available garage. To be hons im so pissed off that its a week and a half of being fobbed off. Im in a finance agreement, is there anyway it can be broken if they are going to keep fobbing me off

    This is is.

A 5 second Google shows that all Ssangyong passenger and commercial vehicle have 5 years roadside assist.

Definitely worth a call, even at this point OP, at least they'll get it from wherever it is now to a main dealer who can do the warranty repairs without much mo r farting around.

I don't know what'll happen to your towing costs already incurred. I'd try to get the selling dealer to cover them as whatever about you not knowing, they should have known you had roadside assist available. That said, if you're dealing with difficult people you might be out of luck.

Is it possible that it’s a uk import? I know the OP quoted kilometers rather than miles, but I can’t see why Ssangyong would tell them to feck off.

No pretty sure it's not UK import. They are supposedly looking at it in morning but i know well its going to be more messing around. Poor service isn't even close. I explained That i never got offered a replacement vehicle and basically said 'Don't care'. Told them last week i was missing work as had no vehicle. 'oh i didn't know you were that desperate' and this is Wednesday after I rang them on the monday morning to explain what happened. 5 of my family bought from the garage in past year thats why i bought mine from there. Last purchase any of us will make.
