Hey, can anyone tell me of a wedding venue in the Donegal area that will cater for an elopement? Having trouble finding somewhere that is a reasonable price.

I'm also not sure what you mean... do you live outside of Ireland and you're hoping to get married in Ireland?

Weddings in Ireland are expensive, so it's quite possible that the quotes you're getting are the norm for here!

Basically I only have 2 guests coming to my wedding to cover the legal requirement and I need a venue that will cater for a wedding this size.

What expectations do you have for the venue? Will you require the use of the hotels function rooms? Do you require an exclusive venue (as in no other functions) ? Are you willing to have a mid week wedding?

What wedding venue are you looking for? Somewhere for the ceremony? Or for a meal afterwards?

Churches don't care how many attend. Registry office won't care either so I'm guessing it's after the ceremony that you want?

What do you mean by "cater for a wedding"? Are you looking for somewhere to hold the ceremony itself, or just to feed and water the four of you afterwards?

Most people who are doing the low-key couple-and-two-witnesses thing will choose to marry in the registry office, or in a church. Either will be happy to accommodate you. If for some reason you want to marry in a hotel, lots of hotels can provide a smallish meeting room in which you can hold your ceremony.

For the shindig afterwards, its obviously going to be a small shindig with just the four of you. Again, lots of hotels and restaurants offer private dining in a room apart from the main eating area, and I dare say if you want them to put out a bit of wedding-type decor they can oblige.
