The Hypocrisy of Protests in Ireland

I observed that Count Dankula is being sentenced tomorrow in the UK for the 'crime' of making a joke.

There will be some form of protest outside the court room and in London by free speech activists.

I noticed marxist sjw microgroups will protest at the drop of a hat about events in other jurisdictions. For example the feminazi lynchmob against those innocent Rugby players in Belfast. And a workers party / pbp protest reaction against the outcome of the American election (against democracy apparently) outside the American embassy after President Trump was elected which they never did when Obama was similarly elected.

The question I have for after hours is this :

Why is nobody outside the British embassy demanding justice and human rights for Count Dankula ?

If a rousing speech such as your OP doesn't rally those you mention to your cause, I don't know what will.

    Will you be there yourself?

Because the people who feel he did nothing wrong simply don't care enough to protest about it. There's no mystery there, and there's certainly no hypocrisy.

It looks like youre one of many who dont seem to understand the op .

Its hypocrisy if youre protesting about other less important stuff. Its not hypocrisy if youre the keyboard warrior you dream about becoming.

No, that's freedom of choice, not hypocrisy. People protest about things they want to change, policies they don't agree with, etc. Depending upon how they feel about something is what motivates them to protest or just ignore it and carry on about their own lives. What you might judge to be less important, they judge to be more important than what you judge should be more important. That's how protests work, because enough people care about changing something. In the case you're referring to, clearly not enough people actually care enough to protest about it.

Still no hypocrisy there, because you're comparing completely different circumstances and trying to say it's hypocrisy on the part of people who care about freedom of speech that they aren't defending this idiot. I wouldn't either, because I don't care.

Are you posting this from outside the British embassy? If not, why not?

On the one hand, it's wrong that some chap from off of YouTube has been convicted of a crime, when all he's guilty of is being a boring try-hard edge-lord. On the other hand, LOL hope they throw away the key.

Hes not right winger. Hes a communist. After perusing your response and of others its more like ''dopey sjws come for someone they dont understand, then the backlash comes for them''

It's a cartoon about a vampire vegetarian duck,it requires more than a little

How is it hypocritical? Your complaint is that people aren't protesting about things you consider more important than the things they consider important enough to protest about.

You even ask "is there a protest to attend?", who do you imagine actually organises protests? I'll give you a hint - people who care enough about an issue to organise a protest!

Perhaps you should organise a protest about people who aren't protesting about the issues you consider more important than the issues they consider important enough to protest about. By your own standards you're already a hypocrite.

Trolling someone to death is also a joke, and sometimes even funny in parts - not suggesting the final result is funny. The joke and it's context matters.

Is it a secret or something?

I'm not complaining. How am I complaining when I'm only asking a question about those people who like to protest about stuff ?
The fact that you're trying to come across as logical while irrationally calling me a hypocrite in the face of opposing empirical evidence actually makes you the hypocrite in this particular case.

Think you might be confusing me with someone else...?

There's no aggression , just a standard request for clarification as to who specifically you are talking about: all protesters or specific protesters? If the later, who? You kind of mentioned everyone in your first post.

The guy should never never been convicted, end of story. Not sure if it agrees with you or not.

People don't have the time to protest idiotic court cases in the UK.
This weekend alone I have seen a barber sentenced to jail time for actual bodily harm because of the haircut he gave someone and another person sentenced for a hate crime because they posted a rap songs lyrics to instagram.

You're tying yourself up in knots mate. There's no homogenous group of "people who like to protest about stuff", people protest about issues they care enough to protest about. In the case you're trying to highlight as an example of hypocrisy, it's empirically evident that there aren't too many people actually give a shìt, let alone care enough to protest. Why? Because it's not important to them. There's your answer. There's no hypocrisy there.

You want people to protest only about the things you think are worth protesting about, but you don't care enough to protest about that yourself. What else would you call a person who complains about people not doing something they don't want to do themselves?
