Is the Wage Subsidy Scheme being exploited by employers in Ireland?

It was always my understanding that the Wage Subsidy Scheme was introduced so that 'disabled' employees were accommodated, in that, the employer received funding to make up for their lack of work productivity.

In my experience of this scheme, however, whether you were on the scheme or not, you were expected to work as fast as someone not on the scheme, and the employer still gets the grant funding, regardless.

Anyone else on W.S.S. experiencing the same thing?

Sounds like an abuse of power to me rather than exploiting the scheme. Although that would be a good way of tackling the issue should you choose to complain.

To be honest this is not state benefits material......perhaps Work and jobs might be better
