House wired for a security alarm, but never fitted. Is it worth doing now before I sell. Not sure if work doing to make house more attractive to potential buyers. At the moment the wires are there for window sensors and maybe that looks bad...unfinished. thoughts??

It is unlikely going to add to the value as much as you will spend on the system.

I agree, personally I look at a house with an alarm I assume it might be old. I'd want a newer one
