Broken lock mechanism on PVC door

I accidentally slammed my PVC door shut while it was in the locked position and I appear to have broken the locking mechanism. How do I find out if it's the multipoint mechanism that has failed or just the locking cylinder?

I am able to lock the door by moving the multipoint locks down manually with my fingers but not with the key. Am I right to think that a new locking cylinder would do the job, rather than calling out a locksmith?

Doesn't sound like the lock cylinder is broken, sounds more like the multi point mechanism is broken. You'll probably need to strip it down and see whats happening. Not really a job for a lock smith, although i guess they would do it. I think B&Q stock the multi point mechanisms, you could compare it to what you have at the minute.
