Query on Sony Tv's

    Hi Guys,

I've been given the task from my aunt to find a new TV for her.

Ive been a big fan of Sony tv's and have been looking through the specs but they seem to have taken the 3D ability away now.

I was wondering if there are any models left that have the 3D capabilities? I know its pretty much a dead technology but she has a few 3D Blu-rays.

Or if that failed if any other brands had that feature,

The required specs are 55inch screen(can be bigger), 4KHDR and hopefully 3D

    Thanks

    Hi Creativedrinker.

There are very very few screens around now that are 3D.

Panasonic have the 58EX750 priced at £999.00 which I think is pretty much the only 3D model available.

For non 3D there is the very popular Samsung 55MU7000 priced at £769.00

    Sony 55XE7002 priced at £639.00

Sony have the 55XE8596 priced at £849.00

Let me know if any of the above might suit.

Any questions drop me a post.

    Hi Kenny,

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Its a shame their not doing the 3d anymore! It won't be for another week or two that my aunt will be buying the TV but ill do my homework on the other TV's you have linked and will get back to you soon.

    Many Thanks!!

    Hi Creativedrinker.

Seems 3D is possibly on its way out. The new Sony range doesn't seem to have a 3D Tv or any of the new Samsungs that have been released so far.

Let us know once you have you have done a bit of research or if you have any questions.

    Hi Kenny,

a bit of a late response but my aunt is finally going to pull the trigger and get a new tv, are the above models still what you would recommend or has anything changed in the last few months?

I have a preference for the sony brand as even if theirs any problems I've found the sony support amazing! Just a good picture quality 55" tv for bluray and tv is what I'm looking for her.

    Many Thanks
    Evan

    Hi Evan,

unfortunately the Sony ranges have completely changed since April and we are now into the 2018/19 series - the only 2018 models we have left are the (excellent) KD55XE8596 which is now reduced to just £799 / €879 (The Euro price includes delivery and our 6 year warranty):
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-202481-bravia-kd55xe8596.aspx?swapstore=1

Or the Flagship LED model the KD55XE9005 at a silly £999 / €1179:
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-202475-bravia-kd55xe9005.aspx?swapstore=1

If you wanted to go with a 2018/19 Sony then the range starts with the silver KF55XF7073 which is now just €898 including shipping and 6 year warranty:

Thanks again and of course if we can assist in any way please don't hesitate to drop us a line if we can assist in any way,

    Hey Evan.

The very best we could offer on the 55XF7073 would be £770 delivered.

Stock is super tight on this at the moment but I should hopefully be able to secure one.
If not there are more due back in very shortly.

If you want to go ahead you can drop us your contact number in a PM and we can give you a call.
