No Sound From Samsung Galaxy J3

    I hope some tech savvy person here might be able to help a complete Luddite.

    Yesterday the "sound part" ( I guess it must be a speaker part of the phone) stopped working. No sound when the phone rings or when a message arrives and no sound when I touch the screen to put in a phone number.

    I have restarted the phone a few times, shut it down completely a few times, I have checked that the volume is turned up.

    I do use the radio on the phone and I had that on a good bet yesterday with earphones attached. I saw on the internet that I should try putting the jack of the earphones in and out a few times in case the phone thinks they are still inserted. I did this, I can hear the radio no problem with them in and when I take them out a message appears on the phone saying head phone disconnected, but still no sound.

    Would anybody have any advice for me please?
