Yes I applied and sat the numerical and verbal exams last week. And as per the front page of the Western People there was you me and 1500 others for a total of 30 jobs.

  • Is that on today's paper? I imagine so as there was at least 100 people when I was there and lots of exam sessions over the 3 days.

Yes that is front page of today's paper. At least we know how many positions are available (30). How did you get on with the exams? I didnt mind the numerical side of it but the verbal reasoning wrecks my head. We have a 2% chance of getting a job:)

  • To be honest I think I did very well at the verbal reasoning, i've practised a lot for those type of tests lately and it was on the easier side of those type of tests. But the last few questions of the numerical tests threw me off completely as they were more difficult than the majority of the exam and I was running out of time. If I get through to the next stage I will be more prepared for them :) Good to know there's 30 jobs but thats still a small chance overall.

Applied for this. I found the verbal part fine. had enough time to go back and check half my answers. The numerical part, skipped 1 question and didn't answer the last 4 cos i ran out of time! got stuck on no. 20. Had heard alright that day there was 1500 applicants so I'm not holding out any hope! Definitely wont now i know there is only 30 jobs... I'm sure out of 1500, 30 got full marks..

keep us updated on when you all hear back.

I sat the tests too, verbal was fine but numerical was a disaster for me. Can’t believe there are so few jobs!

Passed the tests but ranked to high. They are only along people who rank 46 or lower. Happy I passed but knew I wouldn’t get anywhere for a job. Hopefully one of Ye got high enough!

Passed the tests too but 195 not good enough, we would have to be in the top 97% to get to next stage:) :):) Thought they would invite more to apply tbh.

I didn't see the article, did they say how many of those were library jobs? Or any other details? Can't find it online.

(Not that it matters anyway as I ranked too high to be in with a chance ☹ï¸)

Did anyone here get called to the interview stage?

I passed the interview stage and I'm placed in Top 20. Anyone have any idea if they do have 30 jobs or how many of those are permanent/full-time/part-time/contract etc.

    thanks

It's a clerical officer position, so it's starting at 23-24k as far as I remember

Were the interviews for the library and clerical officer the same?
