    Hi Guys,

I have an old Horizon alarm that works just fine other than the outside bell box with sab needs replacing.
I am not sure if I can just replace it with a modern bell box or if that will come with an sab or if I even need the sab.
I was thinking something like this Pyronix DELTABELL X LightBox, Anti-Tamper, Wall Mounted, Flashing LED, Strobe, with PCB Module.
Would you lads know where in Dublin I can buy that or if it would be a straight replacement.

Any advice would be great thanks.

    Kajo

If you have 4 or more connections between the panel & the external bell then that would be no problem.
    Mercury Distribution
    RWL
Northwood technology all sell the Delta Bells.

The HKC SABB is another option. Looks a bit better on the front of your house

You`ll get one in Eurosales, Kelliher Electrical, some others

    Bell + & Bell -
BHO and permanent - can be common
Bell + can be permanent +
You can share bell - with strobe -

Not yet KoolKid I was looking at some on amazon and ebay https://s18.postimg.cc/5d5vzqd1l/alarm2.jpg
I like the idea of a logo on the box and the backlight might help keep the nasty boys away.

Lads just got my hands on the new bell box and I found what I think is the old wiring diagram for thecurrent alarm / bell box.

    New bell box layout https://s18.postimg.cc/xxren06dl/20180430_150315.jpg
I see a few jumpers in the pyronix not sure if I have to move them or not and it also came with a resistor again not sure if I need to use that.

Can any of you lads do a diagram to wire this new box?

    Much thanks,

    Kajo

Using the colours as they are in the panel wire at the delta bell as follows

Yellow to bottom T on Delta bell (keep existing resistor in place)
Red to Aux + on Delta bell
Black to Bell & loop onto STB
Blue to Aux - & loop to top T on Delta Bell
The only jumper to move is battery onto INT

If you have any problems come back to me.
