Racist and Homophobic Guinea Pig

I fear that my Guinea Pig is racist and now also homophobic.

For those of you who are not aware, Guinea Pigs make a a rumbling sound when the don't like something, sort of like when a dog growls. Lately when certain songs come on the radio she rumbles in a racist and / or homophobic manner.

For example, she does it When "You Are" by Lionel Richie is played and also "Jammin" by Bob Marley. This morning she shocked me by rumbling several times in a clearly homophobic manner when "Everything I own" by Boy George was played. She also dislikes the song "Wherever I lay my hat" by Paul Young but I can find no record of him being either gay or black.

Based on her behavior, I also fear she wants to retain the 8th, what should I do?

    Pro-Assad I would imagine.

I think I might make a compilation of all the songs she hates and play it to her as punishment for Syria's use of chemical weapons.

Kill it, skin it and make a nice little fur coat for a smaller rodent.

Are there any pet psychologists nearby? Maybe you should try and teach the guinea pig mindfulness until you get a few sessions sorted. Now that i think of it, the guinea pig must be picking up on your subconscious bias, so you should go hang yourself when the pig is cured.

At least your mams not a Nazi op (not really). My mam was telling me today that she's watching the documentary "Hitler's circle of evil" and she was saying how she could see how people fell for his false charisma.

Then she said "now I lost respect for him when he went down to the bunker for three months" "oh wait that's when you lost respect???" :pac:

What does it think of the current standards of pop.. or lack of rather.

Perhaps you could play your gerbil 90s to.mid 00s pop music and then from late 00s to the present and see if it notes any discernible difference. Then publish your results in the 'Journal of gerbil'

I'll have to get back to you on that, she's busy eating hay right now. And she's a guinea pig, they are quite different to gerbils. Gerbils have tails and constantly try to dig downwards even when the material they are trying to dig through is impossible to penetrate.

Guinea pigs squeak to beg for food when you go into the kitchen or any time they hear a plastic bag rustling because they think lettuce might be on the way. You'd be surprised how vocal they can get.

Could you introduce the guinea pig to any local groups or centers where they could learn how to overcome their prejudices in a productive manner? Perhaps get in contact with the local LGBT group, Mosque or West African cultural center and arrange for the guinea pig to go down and get to know them as people and not just caricatures.

Wherever I Lay My Hat is cover of a Marvin Gaye song. He was both black and Gaye. Your guinea pig is clearly aware of this.
