Suitable Wedding Gift

Looking for opinions on type of Gift to give here.

My Husband has a friend from school who is getting married in June. Second marriage for both Bride and Groom but seem to be doing a big, country hotel 2 day thing.
My Husband actually had lost contact with him and had not heard from him directly in maybe 7/8 years since his first marriage broke up and he moved abroad. Until the wedding invitation came in the post last week. We didn't even know he had met someone new. He is not on Social media etc.
Husband will be at a Conference abroad the weekend the wedding is on so we can't go.
But Husband would like to send a Gift anyway from both of us. I am not sure given the lack of contact over the years.
Would €100 Blue Book Voucher be ok ?
For the first wedding we were also unable to attend but sent a €200 Arnotts Voucher.

Personally I'd just send a card, not give a present. He hasn't heard from the guy in 7/8 years!!

However if you do decide to sent a gift, a voucher worth 100euro is more than enough.

Thanks for the replies. Along the lines of what I have been thinking myself.
Will talk to Husband again tonight.
