Given the precedent has already been set for posting a master board in conecro VS doshman, it should be a forfeit and award of points to Team Siberia.


HOWEVER.

Given it was a link as opposed to the master board itself, and also the fact that it is clearly a genuine mistake (mine was too but it was the actual board).

I'll allow a replay of the match assuming both teams agree.

Now, I'm driving home so will respond to anything else when I get there

Big difference in posting a master board and a pic of a link.

Im ok with replaying the game but tbh if digi and pter say they didnt type out the link on their phones and look at master board we should take them at their word. The game is all but finiahed at this stage anyway

Just to note. Seen as this seems to be am issue. The guessers have a 50% chance of knowing the board in every game considering they are giving the word and the url is simply the site address + the word. If someone wanted to cheat there is a good chance that they could.

guessers plural, each send a word to the captains, so they only know half of the code, No way to figure out the board from that.
digis word was cull, pters word was sandwich. or vise versa.

I understand the frustration, and it's not a case of accusing anyone of cheating at all, but I have to make a call and I felt the game could possibly be compromised. I don't mistrust anyone, and if it was a friendly then it would be fine to play on but it's a league game and I have to enforce the rules as set out.

As I said, the precedence has already been set so by rights it should be a forfeit, but I agree there's a big difference.
Hence me allowing the game to be replayed.

Yeah, this. Not that I don't trust Pter or Digi to have the integrity to say 'Yeah, I looked' - if they did (and I don't believe they actually did), but it would bring question marks to allow the game to continue, hence the above ruling.

Thanks, Digi. It's a sh1tty situation and I know you were in a winning position but again, as organiser I have to enforce rules as laid out.

Not necessarily, they would have to correctly guess the other word the opposing team sent on which could be anything. Small possibility, perhaps, but it's a fair system imo.
We can adjust it for the next competition if there are issues anyways, this is the first ever league so we're all learning as we go.
