Hi all, I was hoping people suggest could places for me and my boyfriend for this summer around middle to end of July. We’re 23/24 and our budget is approx €500 including flights from Dublin or Shannon and bed and breakfast. We want somewhere near beach and pool but also things to do other then just swimming and chilling! Open to all suggestions but ideally somewhere nice and hot so we can come back tanned!

Middle to end of July, peak season, for flights and b&b accomodation for 2 beside a beach with sun for €500.

    I don't think its possible.

    I looked at 17th - 24th July:

You can get a return flight to Malaga for just under €400 for the two of you on Aer Lingus at the moment (arrives quite late though).

Also found this on the beachfront in Torremolinos, a very short train ride from Malaga Airport: https://www.booking.com/hotel/es/hostal-guadalupe.en-gb.html?aid=304142;label=gen173nr-1FCAEoggJCAlhYSDNYBGhpiAEBmAEuuAEGyAEO2AEB6AEB-AELkgIBeagCAw;sid=c8edfa44e001a13ac5809c485fc46322;checkin=2018-07-17;checkout=2018-07-24;room1=A,A;homd=1;nflt=mealplan%3D1%3Bpri%3D1%3Bpri%3D2%3B;srpvid=cfc13faf620a030c;srepoch=1523955850;atlas_src=sr_iw_btn#availability

That comes in just a smidge over €1,000 for a week, B&B

To be honest though, you're really making it tough for yourself. Mid July is when UK school summer holidays start and Irish schools have been on holidays for about two weeks at that stage (longer for secondary). That really cuts down on accommodation options.

If you're going to do a search yourself, set your budget on Booking.com to the €50-100 per night option and that allows you look for flights up to €400 return. Travelling midweek is always a little cheaper too, so if you have that sort of flexibility you should look at travelling on Tuesday or Wednesday.

One last option is to wait for cancellations. If you're easy about where you go, there's always the possibility of a cheap last minute deal, married with the possibility of not going anywhere!

    Happy hunting.

As others have said, if your budget is 500 altogether for a week in July in a decent hotel by the beach with a pool, it's pretty much impossible. If you're set on going away in July, I'd go for a city break instead. You'll have way more options and could easily do something on that budget in the sun.

If you really want to do a sun/beach resort holiday, I'd recommend something in middle of September to middle October. You can get some great deals and as you're at the tail end of the season with schools having reopened, places won't be swamped but everywhere should still be open and the weather will still be great (and in fact nicer as the heat won't be unbearable).

Exactly this. You can go somewhere cheap like Riga, which will be warm and sunny and has a nice beach a short bus-ride away. And by going north in the middle of the summer, you benefit from the longer days too.

Similar prices with Ryanair, €215 pp return from Dublin to Malaga 17 - 24 July. Could really do with clarification from the op as to whether the budget is €500 total which is unrealistic, or €500 per person.

Any chance they could change their dates to early-mid July, returning before the UK school holidays and therefore accommodation might be cheaper?

EDIT: Shannon to Alicante 21-28 June, €338.60 for 2.

TBH, the OP could have done my search for themselves in the five minutes it took me to pull that up!

If the budget is €500 in total, then they should forget about it and consider a city break or go at a different time of year as others have suggested.
