Has anybody used one of the Parkside Compressors from Lidl, PKZ 180 C3? I need it for wheels with approx 5.5 bar. They state it will operate to 8 bar but perhaps someone here has tried it out?

If you buy a decent impact and a decent hose and fittings it will be ok but the lidl hose and impact wouldnt open a coke can :D

I have an aldi compressor which is rated to the same pressure .
It has no problems getting to 8 bar.

I assume you want it for pumping supersingles or wheels under an ifor williams trailer. It will have no problems doing that.

As the other poster says though if you want it for an impact wrench invest in a good quality one

Yours must be different to mine, (bought earlier today). Even though it states on box that it will go to 8 bar, in reality it won't even go close to 5. The inside instruction book also states not for use with motor vehicle wheels. Pity they wouldn't put this info on the outside. At least the store is just around the corner!

Thanks for all your help guys!

Does it have oil in it .
If it was turned on without lubrication it will wear out and wont be able to build pressure.

Is the relief valve stuck open by any chance

Buy an impact wrench. You can pick them up relatively cheap. I have a Ryobi one and its a beast.

That's only a small little portable 1kw compressor, forget about any impact tools with it.

But it should go to max 8 bar. If it's faulty return it. (not unless you forgot to oil it!)

Have already returned it. Read instructions before use and no mention of oil anywhere, also looked it up on youtube, no oil.
