Anyone got an idea what the problem is....when I turn on the isolation switch the shower makes a funny noise. Here is a link to a clip.

Have you just replaced the shower?

    Did this just start randomly?

The noise is the motor running without water flowing

It's a new shower installed, the shower works without the power turned on, but i suppose when you turn on the power it gives it a boost. But it makes that noise and no water comes out.

It's not installed correctly. Get the installer back. Loom most likely isn't sitting correctly or dial is put on in the wrong spot

Should this type of shower be connected to hot and cold water supply or just cold.

It's a power shower so it requires a hot & cold feed

It's ok found that it's connect to hot and cold.....would it have anything to do with the transformer, when he replaced the old aqualesa with the new one he didn't replace the old transformer in the attic with the new one.

Was the old shower an Aquastream or Hydromax?

Possibly aquastream but not to sure only moved into a new house and it was replaced straight away but it sounds familiar.

Each shower has a different transformer.

If the motor wont turn off it's not the transformer. It's the loom not sitting right or the dial not on right.

It must have worked ok when installer was there?

The hot and cold water work and you can have a shower in it, just that noise when the power is turned on and no difference to the power of the water coming from the hose. When he connected it he said that he didn't know what the noise was and said it Could possibly be the transformer.

Sorry I thought you were saying that the motor wouldn't turn off.

You must have had an Aquastream beforehand. If it was a hydramax I would keep the new transformer as a spare but you can't do that when you change from Aquastream to Hydramax. One is AC & the other is DC. Get the installer back to replace the transformer & all will be well

OK so if it was an aquastream and now i have a hydromax change the transformer.
