    Hi all

Got a quote of 95eur to replace rear brake pads on an 09 passat cc. Is this on the high side?

    Thanks

Do that include the price of the pads and is it front and back

I got Back discs and pads and front pads replaced recently and the cost was €350 (€100 for labour.)

Cheers for the above. Just for rear brake pads.front pads and discs are fine for now.

Supplied and fitted that sounds reasonable.

    That’s about the going rate.

Depends on the type of garage and the brand of pads used really. Might be slightly on the high side of average for an independent.

    Electric handbrake?

Probably a 5-10e too much IMO.

they have to use a diagnostic to rewind the calipers & a diagnostic plug-in is normally 30-50

    so on "average"
    pads 35
    labour 55
    diagnostic 40

    consider 95e a fair price

Would consider it a bit on the high side

I don't see OP mention where this was quoted.
Sometimes you pay a bit extra for convenience, like a city centre mechanic etc
95 wouldn't put me off anyway

A set of genuine pads from a dealer could be e95..
