    Hi,

A relative of mine has been on jobseekers benefit for the past 7 months after taking voluntary redundancy - He worked in his previous job for 9 years.

He recently has become quite ill and is unable to get around and the question I have is can he claim illness benefit until he can work again?

My understanding is his jobseekers benefit (prsi stamps) are due to finish in 2 months where he will receive no more money. His wife is also currently employed.

    Thanks..
