    Hi all

I received a quote for a HKC alarm at my parents house in the country, it’s a large bungalow with 3 doors and 12 windows

The quote is for a HKC alarm with a hybrid of wired and wireless cover

Contact and sensor on all perimeter windows and doors
    Internal beam in hall
    External and internal sounders
    Control panel
    Keypad
    1 remote panic button

    Cost €1,485 + vat at 13.5%

    Extras if required
Annual maintenance and monitoring 1 service call
    €170+ vat at 13.5%

Fit GSM unit to panel for communicate to mobiles via app
    €175 + vat at 13.5%
    Annual sim cost €60

Thoughts on this quote anyone ?
Seems quiet high but there are a lot of windows and doors I suppose

Wired devices are not very expensive, wireless are.
So just how good your quotation is depends largely on the breakdown of wireless and wired devices.

Its really down to the number of devices after that.
I'd say shop around & get at least 3 quotes.
Did you get a site survey for a risk assessment & a written system design proposal.?
This should show all the devices & equipment required etc.
    This is a requirement .

Without a breakdown between wired and wire free, cannot give you any indication of whether the price is good or not.
Price of the extras/maintenance/monitoring and the APP are spot on so this is generally a good indication the the original price is close to the mark but as I said, more details required

Does every window need a monitor on it?

Ideally all accessible windows & doors should have a shock sensor & magnetic contact. After that one or 2 motion sensors.
