sky Q to sky+HD

    i have a problem my subscription to sky is finished in 3 days i have a sky Q box which is working fine and the other day i switched over to sky+HD box and its telling me no signal so how come i get signal for Q box and not for +HD box any info would be very appreciated as im going freesat

    The LNB on the dish arm is different for SkyQ and won't work with legacy Sky receivers.

    so if i change over the dish the + HD box will work

    and if you get a hybrid lnb it will work both boxes and it has 6 outputs, look on ebay.

    OP just a beware - the “plus” bit of Sky+HD (ie recording) won’t work without a Sky subscription. Best thought of as a stop gap pending buying a proper FTA receiver.

    today swapped over lnb only took 5mins then put freesat sky card into HD+box and hey presto free channels thanks guys for all the info
