I'm finding it hard to find a suitable watch for a 12 year old boy -

search the kids category and all you see is lego or character or toy watches ,
search the mens and they are all too big...

so, any recommendations for brands or shops would be appreciated...

must be analog, with minimalist watch face (no other dials or features, date acceptable at a push) - he's getting fussy....

    budget €50-60

    For a 12 y/o I'd go with a Swatch Watch.

Super dry? Sometimes have them in tk maxx. Nice clear analog, good colours, not too dear.

I'd say a smaller sized G-Shock. There are analogue ones. Sounds like they might be too fussy for him? I'm digging the lad already with the minimalist thing. Separated at birth. Hiya dad *waves* :D Some of the Seikos might be worth looking at?

Actually I had an oul gander at the Argos site and this came up.

    Here's the link.

34 mm case size so about right for his age. Quartz so no hassle and steel so should wear well. And a minimalist dial. And can't go too far wrong at 26 squids for a "name" he and his mates might know.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Argos stock Adidas watches. Prices from 15 to 50. Got one for my nephew and he was delighted.

My active 14yo is on his fourth or so watch.

I'd go for the cheapest G-Shock you can get.
