WOOFING and social welfare?

    Is there an problem with woofing, ( working on a farm in ireland ) in echange for free accomodation and the social welfare payments? Has anyone done this and what would be the steps and conditions of doing so? Have you found any problems with this? Thank you for any replies!

    It depends on the payment you're in receipt of.
    You're supposed to be available for work if in receipt of unemployment benefit.

    What if you are on a online course supplied by the department and also seetec, Job finding course?

    Chances are you’re quickly allocated to one of the bodies that have been contracted to get unemployed people off the register and out to do anything.

    They look to see you very regular and you have stuff to do between visits.
