    Hey folks

Travelling to the states in a few weeks and toying with the idea of purchasing a laptop. I will be looking for something with an international warranty. Reason is the higher spec laptops seem to be much better value. Im well aware of the customs issue but just want to know would there be a voltage issue if i purchased a replacement uk/ireland charging unit. The laptop im looking at charges from a usb type c port. Thanks in advance.

no. all laptops that I've seen in the last 10 years come with power bricks that handle voltage from 110v to 220v.
the usb-c charging makes no difference.
you won't need to buy a new charger.
all you'll need is a plug converter.
