P45 and Tax question

    Hi,

    I have just accepted a part time job and I'm just wondering could anyone inform me what I do about tax.

    I have my P45 from my previous job. Do I bring this in on my first day and give it to them?

    I'm not that well informed on how the system works and I just want to make sure I do it all correctly so any help is much appreciated!
