yes i worked there for 3 months not the best of places to work, the people were nice enough it's just the work is monotonous and brain dead boring, they seem to go through a fair amount of people as they lay you off before they have to make you permanent,

i knew it wasn't for me and looked solidly for something else which i got thank god.

Thanks for the update. Haha I know the feeling...that sort of work is a total mindf*ck!

Were you in the model farm rd or carrigtwohill plant?? My understanding was that if you were a good operator then you have a good chance of permanency after 23 months or is that all just waffle?

i was in carrigtwohill, maybe that is the case about permanency but i'm not sure, i have heard they like to lay you off when the contract is up and they hire new staff but maybe they do keep some.

Aye, its wrong but they can get away with it and only makes sense from their perspective, no redundancy payments etc etc...many of the plants have gone that way now, some will lay you off for 6 months and bring you back to get around any long term entitlements you as an employee should have with the company...absolute joke.
