    Hello

I was wondering if anyone could advise on a Law Firm or Lawyer that could help resolve a issue with a State Contributory Pension. We've been getting the run around from the Department of Social Protection since 2013 and it time to take the legal route. Our local lawyer that we've dealt with for years has said we've a very strong case and can't believe the Department of Social Protection have let it get this far but also claims that we'd be better off using a specialist lawyer to take the case further. He is of course looking at lawyers for us but I just figured I'd seek some help from general pop as some of you guys might have had some experience with this.

Thanks for the help and sorry I can't go into detail on the issue, hope you can understand that.

If you have exhausted their complaints procedure and are unhappy with the way your case has been handled then have you considered making a complaint to the Ombudsman?
There were a couple of cases vs SW that went to the high court recently but they were hinged on the interpretation of wording in SW legislation.

Thank you for the reply. We're in constant contact with them but for this to be resolved in any reasonably time frame it is of the FSPO opinion that we'll need some legal representation.

What seems to have been the issue that has arisen with the DSP for the SPC?

    The FSPO?

Have you also contacted the "real" Ombudsman? https://www.ombudsman.ie
