Is there a profit to be made from winter milk without a liquid milk contract?
    Opinions please

It's hard enough to make money in spring milk now with sh1te weather most of the year.

If the weather patterns keep following this theme going forward, I'd reckon the perceived differences between spring/winter costs will be negiable
The most profitable cows on a spring calving farm this year will be April/may calvers if we get a good summer and back-end, but try argue this with a teagasc advisor and he/she will think your gone off your rocker, the goalposts have moved this spring and calving cows in February going forward without a good stash of quality silage on-hand is becoming a game of Russian roulette
