    Hi,

Sorry for the probably pretty dumb question...
What is the material used on the upstairs extension in this photo here:

    https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/357473289157954247/

Is it an expensive material in ireland generally, and would a job like this be likely to be problematic/expensive for some reason?
I'm expecting much of the cost would be down to re-configuring bathrooms, piping, emersions etc

    Thanks!

It's just a cladding material, it doesn't affect re-configuring bathrooms, piping, immersions, as you put it. You'll pay for the material and the time to have it fitted correctly by a proper tradesperson on site.

just translated the page its from :
New dormer window covered with black zinc and horizontal aluminum slats for sun protection.

    and from the architect:
    Joep van Os
    Hi Marion,

The dormer window is a coupling of 3 standard wooden frames with a wooden frame, covered with anthracite zinc work.

In the roof edge of the dormer window on the outside, aluminum electrically adjustable slats are concealed.

so the cladding is zinc, and the sun blind slats are aluminium.
