    Was not expecting that from
Rick and Morgan I thought were going to go back to the hilltop and live happily ever after with those escaped saviours[\spolier]

I think the saviors picked a good name for rick - rick the prick. Hard to see how they are going to wrap thing sup with only 2 episodes left?

Who did Negan pick up do you think

I reckon it's the one who knows about Dwight

It could be Dwights wife. She is still alive I think?

I think you're right. She's the one that makes most sense as the Saviours like Simon would surely have planted him by now if they were aware.

I think Negan is gonna play dumb for now, which is why she wasn't with him on his return to the Sanctuary. I also think he will hold schtum for now about the massacre of the Scavengers.

My expectation is that Negan will use Dwight to take out Simon by pretending he trusts Dwight and telling him that he is aware of what Simon did and wants Dwight to take care of the "problem"..

Once Simon is done, then he reveals he knows Dwight is on Team Rick. Probably, if I am right, these things will play out in season finale.

A waste of an extended episode imo. Other than the
    Jadis and Negan
scenes I felt like I had seen it all before. Looking forward to finding out more about
    the chopper
(in season 20 at this rate).

How come Daryl is such a fringe character in these later seasons? Teaming Rick with Michonne was a terrible mistake, there's no chemistry there at all.

    Padding episode. Nothing more.

Thought the scenes with Janis and Negan were decent enough. The rest was fairly standard for this season. As above, not much development considering next week's is the penultimate.

As an aside, the sympathetic savior prisoner (no clue as to his name) seems to have more lines than most of the cast.

New character, lots of character development; that's a paddling

Slight improvement from last week but that's not saying much.

Saw the promo for next week, which showed a clip of Enid the Wise dishing out her survival wisdom to God knows who. Really looking forward to that...

Finally a much needed Enid episode.

    Gave it a six.

I wasn't quite sure what was going on in the Jadis/Negan scenes. What was the story with the right angled zombie contraption? And how did she know the chopper was coming?

Probably would give it a 7 for the scene with Morgan, Rick and The Saviours...that was cold!

Think her watch alarm went off before the helicopter showed up.

Not the worst episode. Rick and Morgan were quite cold in killing those Saviours. If this continues they will be worse than Negan's crew.

Helecopter was interesting, I wonder why Negan didn't ask Jadis before he left "hey, by the by, what's with the choppa?" They are pushing that one into next season I'd say.

I took it that he did ask with the sentence something along the lines of "what was all that"?

The herd was a bit underwhelming,a load of them on the road when Carol and Morgan were talking yet at the bar when they burst in there was only about 20 at most, did they just get a quick snack and wander off? It was just odd with Rick stood in the middle of the room where previously there was a load of walkers. Even a quick scene of him and Morgan hiding would have made more sense.

Who on earth actually rated this episode a 10???
    At best a 4...awful rubbish.

I've been generally more forgiving of TWD than most posters but I thought this episode was dire. Terrible dialogue, terrible acting, and just plain boring for the most part. I spent much of it watching the little bar move across the bottom of my screen, willing it to go faster, so it would be over sooner.

I reckon its Gregory that Negan has in the car.  It would be interesting if it was the Saviour Female who knows Dwight is a turncoat, or Dwight's wife.  But we know they are going to play it safe. Hopefully I am wrong!

She had a walkie talkie in her bunk, probably been some form of communication going on between her and the “coptor” people.

The talking around everything and speaking in riddles is getting tiresome, and seems a bit pretentious. Why people in TWD can't say clearly and unequivocally where they're going, what they want, what they intend...is beyond me. You'd think in such a perilous existence that clear communication would be even more important. Nope, in TWD everyone speaks in code because, y'know...it's more deep...or something.

Carol: "I know what's down there"
Morgan:"I have to go that way"
    This viewer: "Jesus H Christ..."

This Saviour BS had better wrap up soon. I don't think my sanity can take another season of it. It was old a couple of episodes after Negan appeared. Now, it's rancid.

Rosita: "They can make hundreds of bullets." Well I wouldn't worry about that...hundreds of bullets amount to a a minute or so of firing on this show. Speaking of which, with ammunition at such a premium, why are they going full auto on walkers that only require one round in the head to be put down?

I thought it was long-haired-smartarse-saviour who had been sent to Negan in the box. What was I thinking...that would have been a good decision. Still, what he experienced in this episode made up for it.

Let's hope the new showrunner can rediscover what this show should be about: clear, plausible plotlines, clear believable dialogue, include moral dilemmas but dump the pseudo-philosophising and get back to scaring the siht out of the viewer. It's not asking too much...is it?

Aye, IIRC right after the chopper appeared he did. But right before Negan left her he could have asked what it was about. It's a big development and I would have not expected him to just walk away.

Anyone else disappointed that Henry is still alive? Such an annoying dip****.
I'm glad that the long haired savior sociopath is finally dead.
Ricks cold blooded extermination was a bit of a surprise.
Whoever said that Michonne and Rick have no chemistry, I completely agree, it is so pointless.

Nope, he legged it when the rest of the Saviours did from their pen in the Hilltop, but was no where to be seen with them in the dive bar when Rick and Morgan slaughtered them.  Very surprised if its anyone else but him in the car.

If it is Gregory in the car, what's his significance to Negan? Does he know about Dwight? He's hardly a good hostage as the Hilltoppers wouldn't trade a couple of cabbages to get him back alive.

I think it has to be somebody who has something on Dwight or maybe even Simon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 867 ✭✭✭giddybootz

Ever since Michonne and Rick have gotten together she has just been fading more and more into the background. They have absolutely zero chemistry together so it's not even interesting/entertaining that they got together.Such a waste of a once great character.

They have also written Daryl into the background lately which is a stupid decision.

Defo think Negan has picked up the woman who knows about Dwight...just hope they do something interesting with it and don't waste it.

That's a good point, he's not really worth anything to either group now.

But wasn't that Negan's plan anyway? To infect rather than kill which is what Simon did.

My money the chopper is some relation to garbage woman. It used to fly over same time each week and they all hid from it .but now with everyone gone she's ready to be found .

The garage location has some significance which is why they come back looking for her regularly

Makes some sense along with the Ikea living conditions and alarm

So the chopper pilot somehow managed to miss the hundreds of people living in the dump every other time he flew over, but Jadis thinks he'll notice a flare? Ok.

I suspect half the problem is that Danai Gurira has been phoning in her performances for the past couple of seasons, presumably out of sheer boredom/embarrassment.

I think the chopper is going to be involved in Morgan's
    departure to Fear TWD.

Thought it was mostly alright. The dive bar scene was proper nasty, Rick and Morgan were really on the same page for this one. And it's always good to see a character get their comeuppance in such a gruesome manner. More of this I say!

The scenes with Negan and Jadis played out well and that chopper is such a tease lol. But who on earth says 'what the sh!t?' :pac:

I think FTWD is currently behind TWD timeline wise?  The Morgan we meet in that is going to be from when he is getting himself back together (in between Rick meeting him in the episode where he is acting as a lone sniper to when he is in the farmhouse with the guy learning aikido).

I could be totally wrong though!

It was behind TWD but it's getting a time jump to accommodate Morgan. They're basically rebooting FTWD. I mentioned on another thread that the previews for the first two episodes have been very well received so I'm looking forward to it. First two seasons were hit and miss and I thought it would fizzle out but the third season was actually better than the the current and previous WD seasons. Anyway, that's for another thread!

I just watched it now. 1 week later.
This helicopter story better be damn good, like a military base but judging by the helicopter itself it's gonna be a ****e story.
The cgi of the flare.. ffs.
Now that I think about it, was the helicopter cgi too?
I can't how see how anything interesting will how with the finale.

It's all an intricate tapestry. We see that the flare was cgi. Then we see that the helicopter was cgi. Then we realise that all the characters in the show are cgi. Then the characters in the show become self-aware that they are cgi. Then all the all the watchers of the show become aware that they are cgi. And then the aliens land.
