Illness benefit, payment correct?

    I just checked my bank account and I got a payment of €194.70 this week. My usual payment is €193, and with the €5 increase I was expecting €198 this week. Am I missing something here? Does illness benefit not get the full increase? I can’t work out where €194.70 is coming from.

    Illness benefit increase commenced 26th March.
    Disability benefit increase commenced 28th March

    I would guess that the increase commenced mid payment week (don't they go Thursday to Wednesday? )

    Somewhere in my poor brain I know what this is. Illness benefit is paid in arrears. I think your not getting the increase then till next week, and that 1.40 is something to do with Easter Monday.
    It’ll be next Tuesday before you get anyone but I’m sure it’s easily sorted out.
    Don’t go mad with the €1.40 now just calm down !!
