Just wondering has anyone out there have any experience with the above? I am particularly interested in the full day clinic. Before I commit (its a two hour drive for me from Waterford) I was hoping to hear some stories about past experiences.

I found it very good. Did a short game one.

This covered everything from 60 yards in.

I'd say depends how many are in the group and how much you are getting it for. If it is near 200 euro - would you not be better off with one on one lessons ? I'm sort of asking that question in an open way - so if you are getting it for nearer 100 go ahead (IMO).

The coaches there are very good but in larger groups it is fairly limited how much 1/1 time you will get.

But - I'm a fairly visual learner and watching a top level pro talking about his set up - was enough for me.

The facilities are top class, if you get the weather for short game area.

If you have the money go for it.

I would warn that the short game has some many variants and in a group situation , you will be shown a particular philosophy that the pro teaches.
There are many different short game types.

How much are you getting it for ?

Any group and organised coaching is fairly motivational anyway and a good thing to do.

Sorry I've probably offered too many counter arguments there :D

Your worse off with that post.

Only basing it off prices on the site so presume I would be paying that. Thanks for the link, will look at it now!

Pelz in killeen castle might be worth a look as well.

Friend of mine did the full day there recently, said some of the stuff was brilliant and very simplified, but he found it was too much info to retain and try to practice. He wrote as much as he could down at lunchtime and at the end. Was a present so he didn't mind, but felt it wasn't worth the money, although the bits he can remember fully he's delighted with.

I've done two there. The first was great as there was only two of us and we got plenty of time with the coach throughout the two hours. Second time for a different clinic there were 6 of us and I didn't feel I got the same value for money and it was bit rushed getting round everyone. Depends on the numbers really. Might be worthwhile giving them a ring beforehand and see how many are booked in. Both my clinics were for 2 hours

Personally I was pretty underwhelmed by the experience - I think it’s better suited to higher handicap players. Was a few years ago now so maybe it’s improved since then. Kenny who took it spent half the time telling us about his own game and results on the Irish pro circuit :-(

I've noticed the 2 hour clinics have gone up from €65 to €95. Quite a significant increase and I would be hesitant about parting with that amount for what you get in return. The pro in my club is offering 4 lessons for €100 which will be a much better investment
