    Hi all,

Just wondering if you had any thoughts on the following.

I am coming up to the first anniversary of my Job and therefore my first annual review.
In the contract that I signed it stated that I would be eligible for a bonus after 12 months employment and company performance. (the company had their best year last year). But from what I gather they don't pay out bonuses until Christmas time but I'm not 100% sure on this.

Am I eligible for a bonus now that 12 months has passed or do I have to wait until December, just wondering where bonuses are at legally

My reading of it would that be you will become eligible to be included in any bonus payment after completing 12 months of service but that it's up to them when they want to pay it.

I would understand it to mean you are eligible for consideration in the next bonus period, not the one just gone.. It does not matter that the company had their best year, you were not eligible to be considered in that period.
