I was on rct sub contractors for 4 weeks in 2015 I received a form 11 my wife filled it in as best she could, they reckon I owe 1k, how it was only 4 weeks the rest of the year I was a paye worker, I have written back twice explaining this with no useful responses can send on an amended form still don’t know what to fill in as it was only 4 weeks roughly €600 a week

    4 weeks * €600 = €2,400 * 51% = €1,224 total tax (this includes 40% PAYE, 7% USC and 4% Prsi)

This assumes you are on the higher rate of tax not having any SRCOP or tax credits remaining after your PAYE salary, don't have a medical card, are under 70 and many other assumptions.

Do you have any reason to think this is wrong?

What was your total gross earnings for 2015 including and taxable DSP payments? If you are jointly assessed with your spouse, include hers also.

    The 2400 should be taxed at 49% for 2017. That's 40% tax, 4% PRSI and 5% USC. That's €1,176 due.

You have mentioned a 20% rate a few times. I believe you are talking about one of the RCT rates. Did you have 20% tax withheld on the payment and is the 2400 a net figure or gross?
